Harmony is a linear accelerator device used in radiotherapy. Harmony, which can be utilized in treatment of any cancer that requires radiotherapy, can irradiate a tumor with a precision of 1 mm. Thus, the radiation doses are delivered in a configuration very close to the shape of the tumor, resulting with efficient protection of the peripheral healthy tissues.
Usage Areas
Harmony device offers a means of effective and safe treatment for all tumors that are located at any part of the body and require “radiotherapy”. It is preferred especially for treatment of small intracranial tumors or those nearby the risky organs in the body.
How to Apply?
As is the case with all other linear accelerators used for radiotherapy, all treatments are also guided over a computerized system in the Harmony. The patient lies on the treatment table that can be moved. The device continuously turns around the patient and synchronizes the dosing and the imaging.
