Advanced Oncology Unit

Medicana International Ankara Hospital meets a significant need of Ankara and nearby cities as it is the only center for advanced cancer treatment. Multi-slice CT, PET-CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and LINAC with the capability of IMRT – all available in a private hospital for the first time in Ankara- conventional radiology and nuclear medicine imaging modalities and radiation oncology make Medicana International Ankara Hospital the center of cancer treatment.

A state-of-the-art PET-CT scanner installed in the nuclear medicine unit, which plays a prominent role in cancer treatment, can precisely identify cancerous cells. Thus, the treatment targets only cancerous cells, and healthy cells are not harmed.

Bone Marrow Center

Our Bone Marrow Transplantation Center has allowed patients from numerous cities in Turkey and many countries to turn over a new leaf for a second life in Ankara since February 2012. We are proud and happy to perform more than 1000 bone marrow transplantations as of November 2017. We aim to fulfill many patients’ bone marrow transplantation needs and maximize survival rates by our specialist doctors – each specialized in relevant field healthcare personnel, and patient rooms with 14 HEPA filters, which meet world standards.

Organ Transplantation Center

Medicana International Ankara Hospital aims to get high success rates in advanced medical practices by allowing patients to turn a new leaf into a second life with organ transplantation. Organ Transplantation Center was established in October 2009, soon after the hospital was put into service. Kidney and liver transplant surgeries have been performed in the center since then. Delivering services at international standards, our hospital has surgeons specializing in liver and kidney transplant surgeries. Cardiology Center

Our specialist cardiologists use MitralClip for mitral regurgitations, Mitral Contour System (Carillon), Mitral Balloon Valvuloplasty (dilatation of mitral valve with balloon), perform EPS, Ablation, and non-surgical replacement of aortic valve (TAVI), implants pacemakers, carry out coronary interventions (balloon angioplasty used to restore patency of coronary arteries by inserting a catheter into a blood vessel of groin, arm or wrist in a non-surgical procedure, stent implantation and other procedures) and treats all heart and valve diseases, arrhythmia, coronary artery diseases, heart valve diseases, heart failure and hypertension to help patients get well again.

Obesity is a treatable condition that not only affects social life negatively but also leads to numerous health problems, including but not limited to type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, cancer, infertility, and depression.

Our Obesity Center was established for the effective and sustainable treatment of obesity. We admit everybody with a body mass index equal to or above 30. Four healthy life programs address patients’ health problems and provide training about detailed medical information, health, and life skills related to obesity.

Cyberknife Radiosurgery is the first and only robotic radiosurgery system designed to treat tumors with sensitivity and precision below one millimeter. Intensive Care Services

There are 17 beds in the medical and surgical intensive care unit, nine beds in the CVS intensive care unit, ten incubators in the neonatal intensive care unit, and five beds in the Coronary intensive care unit at the hospital.

Our intensive care units have waiting, information, and resting areas for family members and a Mother-Baby Adaptation – Training Room, where mothers are informed.

Specialized Pediatrics Clinic

Meeting the criteria of a “Baby-friendly” hospital, Medicana International Ankara Hospital serves all age groups based on specially developed concepts, architecture, and specialist staff.

Our Children’s clinic serves patients in divisions of pediatric allergy, pediatric surgery, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric gastroenterology, child development consultant, pediatric hematology and oncology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric nephrology and pediatric rheumatology, and pediatrics department.

The design is based on a unique architecture for children in playgrounds of pediatric outpatient clinics and pediatric inpatient clinics.

Multi-functional Emergency Medicine

All services are organized to fulfill the needs of inpatients and outpatients at the Medicana International Ankara Hospital emergency room. The emergency room has decontamination, resuscitation, urgent intervention, radiologic imaging, observation rooms, and an operating theater for conditions requiring surgical management. The emergency medicine department has ten observation beds, including one isolation room.
